Libra receives Patent for AROREC Technology

Libra is proud to announce the approval of its Patent for 'A SYSTEM AND A PROCESS FOR SEPARATING AROMATICS FROM AN EFFLUENT STREAM' (AROREC Technology) by the Patent Department, Government of India w.e.f. 21/05/2015 for a period of 15 years. This Technology helps bring down Benzene level to <10 PPM and has been successfully used by Libra in one of the public sector refinery of India and commissioned.

It's a proud moment for all Libra Employees who toiled on this work to make it happen!

Mechanical Completion of HCL scrubber system

Libra is proud to announce the Mechanical Completion of a Project for Replacement of HCL Scrubber System for our Saudi Arabian client who is also the most reliable manufacturer of Main Antioxidants in the Middle East.

The work started with conceptual designs in April 2018 and completed within schedule in February 2019. The project involved:

  • System study to identify the bottlenecks to enhance the HCl absorption system capacity and propose the redesigned equipment
  • Provide budgetary cost estimates for the project
  • Check-rate equipment design and specifications for new equipment.
  • Supply, fabrication, inspection, testing and expediting of process equipment that included Hastelloy vessels, Graphite Equipment, PVDF Pumps and PTFE-Lined Pipes and Fittings
  • Piping engineering that included layouts and isometrics.
  • Assembly, installation, pre-commissioning and hand-over of the process systems
  • As-built drawings preparation

The system has been commissioned and is running to our client's satisfaction

Mechanical Completion of ANOX 20 expansion

Libra is proud to announce the Mechanical Completion of Expansion of ANOX 20 project for our Saudi Arabian client who is also the most reliable manufacturer of Main Antioxidants in the Middle East.

The work started with conceptual designs in October 2018 and completed within schedule in February 2019. The project involved:

  • System study to identify the bottlenecks and
    modifications required and budgetary cost estimates for the project
  • Residual basic and detailed engineering to remove the equipment bottlenecks and for the modified process
  • Check-rate the equipment design, supply, fabrication, inspection, testing and expediting of process equipment that included shell and tube heat exchangers, Plate Heat Exchangers, vessels and various instrumentation items
  • Piping engineering that included layouts and isometrics with modifications in structural supports
  • Assembly, installation, pre-commissioning and hand-over of the process systems
  • As-built drawings preparation

The system has been commissioned and is running to our client's satisfaction.

In December, 2018, a Saudi client has chosen Libra to modify its chilled water system to improve its efficiency and reduce operational costs while providing flexibility for future expansions. The study will involve complete work from producing all discipline documents for the existing system to design and drawings for the modification work.

Libra successfully beats competition to secure a contract to supply measuring and process monitoring instruments in Saudi Arabia

In October 2018, Libra emerged as a winner of yet another contract for supply of measuring and process monitoring instruments for expansion of an Anti Oxide plant from one of its premier client in Saudi Arabia beating severe competition from niche players from different geography.

The deliveries are scheduled for end January 2019 which we are confident to achieve.

Libra makes foray into EU region

On 1st October 2018, a Netherlands based client chose to entrust the work of design of a Cyclone for Mercury treatment project in another developed country. It reflects on the client’s faith in Libra’s process design capability as the design is crucial in several aspects.

Our Executive Director Mr. Siddharth Wazir notes with enthusiasm that though it is a humble beginning, it marks our foray into EU region.

Libra wins process equipment design and supply contract in Saudi Arabia amid stiff competition

In July 2018, Libra won another contract for process equipment design and supply for expansion of an Anti Oxide plant from one of its premier client in Saudi Arabia.

The contract entrusts the responsibility of design and supply of Plate type Heat Exchangers, Shell & Tube Hear Exchangers, vessels, PTFE lined pipes, fittings, gaskets and nut bolts.

The award of this contract is a result of Libra studying the system in 2018 for improvement in process efficiency to enhance production which has been fully accepted and appreciated by client.

Libra wins yet another process equipment design and supply project in Saudi Arabia

In May 2018, Libra has won another contract for process equipment design and supply for a Hydrochloric Acid scrubbing system from one of its premier client in Saudi Arabia. The contract involves design and supply of a Graphite Falling Film absorber, Graphite packed column type tail tower, cooler, pumps and a HAC lined Catchpot with demister. The award of this contract is a result of Libra studying the system in 2017 and suggesting the remedial design for improving the efficiency of the scrubbing system.

Commenting on the order, Director Mr. Siddharth Wazir noted that ‘This order demonstrates the faith of our clients in Libra’s design and supply capability as Libra offers a more reliable warranty for performance of the entire system in such cases compared to individual equipment warranties being offered by OEM’s.’

Libra Techcon is pleased to announce the continuation of its success in securing prestigious project awards from clients in Saudi Arabia. This time one of its premium client has again reposed its faith in LTL’s ability to deliver large projects in reasonably short duration. Having just completed the basic engineering and cost estimates for revamp of an Anti-Oxidant plant, the client found value in accepting the cost estimates and quickly awarded the further work of detail engineering and pre-procurement services including a HAZOP study. The project is scheduled to be delivered within two and half months. “This is a reflection of the unflinching confident the clients have in Libra’s capability to deliver precise engineering solutions in shortest possible time” said Siddharth Wazir, Executive Director, Libra Techcon Ltd in an external address.

Libra's strong process design capabilities earned it yet another repeat order from Gulf Stabilizers Industries, KSA who has chosen to engage Libra for preparing a basic engineering package and a Class 3 cost estimate for modification to its ANOX 20 plant.

Reaffirming its faith in Libra's process design capability, Gulf Stabilizers Industries, KSA has entrusted an important process study to Libra in order to contain emissions and comply with statutory norms including an onsite study of the system, if required. The study report will be delivered within two months.

Recognizing Libra's impeccable track record in IPR protection and strong design engineering credentials in specialty chemical projects, a leading fragrance and flavor manufacturer has recently awarded basic and detail engineering design consultancy services for a plant to manufacture ingredients for fragrance and flavors. Planned to be set up in Navi Mumbai, the design of the project will be quickly completed in 5 months' time and its successful running will lay the foundation for an expansion in near future.

CHEMANOL has once again reposed its complete faith in Libra Techcon Ltd. for validating the capacity enhancement measures and for suggesting the improvements in its operation from the point of view of compliance to safety standards as well as pollution control measures for its Para Formaldehyde plant at Jubail Industrial City, KSA. The agreement to this effect was signed in April 2017 reinforcing the decade old relationship between the two. One of the major manufacturer of antioxidants and non-dust blends in Saudi Arabia today selected Libra for modification work of its methanolysis plant. Libra's Gulf office will play a major role to complete this work within a month's time.
